From time to time some puzzles
become so popular that they can drive the whole World to
crazy. Rubik's Cube or Loyd's 1415 Puzzle are two of the most
famous samples of such puzzles.
Nowadays we have another puzzle phenomenon which
conquered the whole World; its name is Sudoku. For a
couple of past years a lot of different variations of
the classic 9x9 Sudoku were invented and popularized.
Many of them you can see in the
Sudoku Variations article by
Ed Pegg Jr. Below I'd like to show several new
Sudoku variations.

Christmastree Strimko

The Grabarchuk Family 
Fill in all the vacant bulbs in the
four garlands decorating the Christmastree with numbers
1 through 7, a number per bulb, so that each garland
contains seven different numbers. Enjoy this triangular
version of the Strimko puzzle! As a warmup you may try

Slant Numbers

2nd World Sudoku Championship held in Prague on
March 28  April 1, 2007. It was part of the 2WSC
playoff. Every square cell of a 6x6 square grid is
divided diagonally into two triangle subcells (white
and gray)...

Constellation Sudoku

It is a starry variation of Sudoku
on a "standard" 9x9 grids with rules as in a "standard"
Sudoku. In addition, you are provided with 32
cluenumbers, 15 starting numbers, and 15 stars on the
board to place them. Does that make it easy, as you

Twin Sudokus

This is a twin variation of Sudoku
on two "standard" 9x9 grids which are solving
simultaneously using all rules as in a "standard" Sudoku.
The object is to fill in both 9x9 grids with two sets of

cluenumbers always placed in the intersections of the
grid lines. Each cluenumber is the sum of all digits

Squared Outline Sudoku

two more rules while distributing numbers in the cells
of the grid, and so have numbers in the two main
diagonals and in a highlighted "diagonal" square
