Seven 1-unit-side checkered
hexagons.

|
This is a hexagonal version of the Origami Checkerboard
puzzle. It uses an unusual Origami sheet of paper in the
form of a regular hexagon colored just on one of its sides.
In this page you can see seven, 1-unit-side patterns.
Your challenge is to achieve every of the proposed
patterns in the minimum of single "book" folds;
see a sample. The final shape
every time is a flat regular hexagon; no matter
what pattern will be at its back.
Write
us about your minimal solutions to these patterns.
All the best results will be posted.
Also, there are well over two hundred of 2-unit-side patterns
that can be obtained using an Origami hexagon, and one day they will be posted as well.

Even much more difficult challenges can be finding all the
3-unit-side checkered hexagons and their
minimal solutions. |
