How to get the Origami Strip L.

An Origami strip and twenty-six Origami Strip Letters.

Using an Origami strip colored at one side, and white on the other, and performing just "single-layered, book" folds get a letter of the Origami Strip Alphabet in the minimal number of single folds. No matter what pattern will be at the back of the final letter, but the letter itself must be flat. Similarly, after every fold every new shape must be flat as well.

A small sample at left shows how to get the Origami Strip L in two "single-layered, book" folds.

Actually, you have twenty-six Origami Strip Letters to fold of Origami strips; they are shown in the diagrams in this page. Every letter is shown on a 5x5 grid in order to show its exact shape and proportions. Numbers next to the Origami Strip Letters indicate the minimal folds necessary to perform them as they were found by the author of this puzzle.

Write us if you can improve any of these results.
